PROGRAM STRUCTURE: 3 MONTHS • 3 DAYS PER WEEK

MONTH 1 — INDUSTRIAL DESIGN FOUNDATIONS
Learn the Core Skills Every Designer Needs
You will learn:
- What Industrial Design is & how it shapes the world
- Understanding 3D form, dimension, scale, proportion
- Human-centered design & usability principles
- The full industrial design methodology
- Design Thinking & innovation systems
- Research methods & user analysis
- How to write a professional design brief
- Concept ideation & creative thinking
- Industrial design sketching (freehand + technical)
- Turning ideas into visual concepts
- Intro to CAD (Fusion360 / Blender / TinkerCAD)
- Basic digital modeling exercises
This month builds your brain, your eye, your thinking and your design instincts before you ever touch a machine.
MONTH 2 — CAD MODELLING, PRODUCT DESIGN & PROTOTYPING
Design ONE full product from scratch
You will:
- Choose a real product to design
- Build a structured design brief
- Model it in 3D CAD
- Add engineering features & tolerances
- Prepare parts for manufacturing
- Learn design for 3D printing (DFAM)
- Print your parts using FDM or Resin machines
- Test, evaluate & iterate
- Reprint improved prototypes
This is real product development, the same process used by industrial designers worldwide.
MONTH 3 — MANUFACTURING, FINAL PRODUCT & MARKET READINESS
Turn your design into a fully functional product
You will complete a fully manufactured, working prototype, including:
- Final printing & assembly
- Surface finishing (painting, sanding, smoothing)
- Product branding & visual identity
- Packaging considerations
- User testing
- Manufacturing-ready improvements
- Portfolio documentation
- Final pitch presentation
By the end, you leave with a functional, sellable, professional product, created entirely by you.
